dissecting my work

Tropelía was all about symbolism and excess. Through every set, I wanted to represent a bit of each character, for one brother it was music, so we would see baby instruments at the beginning; for the other brother, it was art, so his bedroom is the perfect art exhibition.
The main subject in the story is vice so I took it a great opportunity to portray mess on each set, that's until we get to the coldness of the support group in, here the emptiness of the set is also a state of our main character's mind.

Main sets: Living Room | Bedroom Party Support group

*My favourite thing about this project was the chance to make a delicate mess. In "real life" our messes don't necessarily look good in front of a camera, here every item I placed on frame was thought thoroughly.
